Outward Bound California ("OBCA," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. We provide this privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") to help you ("you," "your," or "User") understand how OBCA collects, uses, protects, and discloses information and data when you use the OBCA website at https://www.outwardboundcalifornia.org/ ("OBCA Services"). This Privacy Policy also explains how you can manage the use of certain information we collect. By accessing, browsing, or otherwise using the OBCA Services, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.
We collect different types of information from and about Users of the OBCA Services, including information by which you may be personally identified ("Personal Information"). For example, we collect Personal Information from Users that create an account with the OBCA Services such as the User's name, address, email, and phone number, credit card information, and birth date. If you create an account using your credentials from a third-party social media site, we will have access to certain information from that site, such as your name, email address, and profile picture, in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by such third-party social media site. We additionally collect other information that Users volunteer, such as through contact forms that Users can submit through the OBCA Services.
If you would like to access or correct inaccuracies your account information, you may do so by contacting us via email or phone.
If you choose to apply for a job through the OBCA Services, we will collect Personal Information such as your name, phone number, email, address, and any Personal Information in your resume, cover letter, and field log (if applicable).
We also collect information that you voluntarily provide in your testimonial. We may post your testimonial, with your prior consent. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, please contact us at [email protected] and include in your email your name, testimonial location, and contact information.
We also collect information that is not Personal Information, such as aggregate data regarding which webpages are visited for how long, as well as information regarding any technical errors that occur on the OBCA Services.

We use the information we collect, including Personal Information, to improve the content of the OBCA Services, to facilitate OBCA programs, to process transactions that you enter into using the OBCA Services (such as donations or correspondence), and to contact you regarding the OBCA Services. We may also share Personal Information with third-party consultants, for purposes such as wealth screening or fundraising consultation. We do not share Users' credit card information.
Additionally, OBCA discloses the information we collect, including Personal Information, when required to do so by law, or in response to a subpoena, discovery, or court order, or when OBCA believes in its sole discretion that disclosure is necessary to protect the property or rights of OBCA or third parties.
If OBCA is merged, acquired, or sold, or in the event of a transfer of some or all of our assets, we may disclose or transfer Personal Information in connection with such transaction. Other than to the extent ordered by a court, the use and disclosure of all transferred Personal Information will be subject to this Privacy Policy, or to a new privacy policy if you are given notice of that new privacy policy and are given an opportunity to opt out of it. Personal Information submitted or collected after a transfer, however, may be subject to a new privacy policy adopted by the successor organization.

You transmit information through the OBCA Services at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the OBCA Services.
OBCA may share information you submit through the OBCA Services to third parties, including Personal Information. Third parties are under no obligation to comply with this Privacy Policy, however, with respect to Personal Information that Users provide directly to those third parties or that those third parties collect for themselves. OBCA neither owns nor controls the third-party websites accessible through the OBCA Services, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to information provided to or gathered by the third parties that operate them. Before visiting a third party, whether by means of a link on the OBCA Services or otherwise, and before providing any Personal Information to any third party, Users should review the privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third party, and should take those steps necessary to, in those Users' discretion, protect their privacy.
You may be able to pay for a program registration or make a donation through the OBCA Services. If you choose to register for a program, Users will be directed to the Outward Bound national company's website—outwardbound.org—which will use the Personal Information collected to process the purchase and to send a purchase confirmation.
If you make a donation, we use the Personal Information collected, such as your credit card information and contact information, for billing purposes and to provide donation receipts. You may include your name when making a donation or you may choose to donate anonymously.

Some web browsers have "Do Not Track" or similar features that allow you to tell each website you visit that you do not want your activities on that website tracked. At present, the OBCA Services do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals and consequently, the OBCA Services will continue to collect information about you even if your browser's "Do Not Track" feature is activated.
The OBCA Services and the information contained therein is intended for use by United States residents only. If you are visiting from the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use, please note that you are agreeing to the transfer and processing of your information to the United States. By providing your information you consent to any transfer and processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy and you agree that any dispute over privacy or the terms contained in this Privacy Policy will be governed by the law of the State of California and the dispute resolution provisions set forth in the Terms of Service. If you wish to withdraw your consent for the use and sharing of your personal information pursuant to this Privacy Policy, then you will need to cease all use of the OBCA Services.
